there and back again, a wobit's tale

we went to visit my sissy and her hubby last week for her boy's 5th b-day.  we stayed in style in a 3 bedroom hotel overlooking the beach.  my bro and his gf traveled out there to vactation it up too.  much fun was had.  myrtle beach is a fun place to go, no questions asked.

bibi loved her time in the "osho"

i had such a great time seeing my sissy

b-day boy is a mermaid in the sand

me and my girls

bro and his girl.  they both tried crab for the first time.  how adventurous!

so, since he was the birthday boy, he was forced to ride a pony all the way around joe's crab shack while happy birthday was sung to him.  he was so dang embarassed and mad.  it was hilarious!  but he did get a cool balloon hat out of it (don't have a pic though)

who knew that a boogie board would get mimi in the water?  she never wants anything to do with the water, but this did it :)

don't mind my face. just look at how happy mimi is IN THE WATER!!! (didn't catch any pics of her riding the waves on the boogie board but she did it and loved it)

this boy had no fear.  even loved the biffs.

bibi yearned to be in the water at all times.

beard took this pic.

um.  he a had a good time doing this and many other random things.

daily adventures

Hi. I sooo need to go to bed, but I thought I'd check into this bloggle. we are still kickin' and it is flippin' hot around these parts lately. i thought fl was hot and humid, apparently i hadn't been here yet. but we brave the heat anyways and keep busy outdoors and indoors pretending to be dinosaurs, giraffes, or whatever else mimi thinks up on any particular day- we can't possibly be ourselves, right? bibi is not too particular and just joins right in and plays along. tonight when mimi went to taekwondo, she was a dinosaur dressing up in a taekwondo outfit so she would looks like she was human and no one would suspect that she was a dinosaur trying to learn how to eat humans by figuring out how they protect themselves. now, i have to admit that i did influence this imaginitive play so i could get her to put on her uniform, but it worked- yipee!
another thing we did today was sit in the car in the garage whilst the car was turned off. each kid enjoyed pretending to drive. our pretend destination was the zoo. we got out and walked around the house pretending to find all sorts of zoo animals, petting them and kissing them and giving them water (bibi poured water out in the places where the animals were declaring they were hurssy (thirsty).
that is all. we may go swimming on saturday at a public pool we haven't tried yet. it would be nice to get in the cool water.
